Naomie grew up in Martinique where she studied biology. After working as master’s student on mosquitoes in our lab, she joined the group in Sept 2022 to work on the RACE project (USDA grant) to study the molecular determinants of Ehrlichia ruminantium allowing vector transmission by the tick Amblyomma variegatum. Her work should lead to the development of alternative strategies to control heartwater spreading in non-endemic regions. Naomie loves filling her office with plants, creating creating a pleasant zen atmosphere with her japanese water fountain !
